We have the Infocus 7200 and the DV47A but when we play a dvd it play in 420. I thought it would play at 720. Is there a setup? Do I need something else? It looks ok but at 92 inches some pictures look grainy. Any thoughts?
I think you meant that the 7200 recognizes a 480P input instead of a 720P input. This is because right now there are no STB DVD players that scale the image to 720P (the PC will) and future DVD players will too.
Your DVD player can be set to output either 480P (using the deinterlacer built into the player) or 480i, in which case the Faruodja deinterlacer built into the SP7200 will do the deinterlacing and convert the signal to 480P. Try both and see if one looks better to you than the other.
No current DVD player scales the natural 480 lines of resolution of DVD to 720 lines. That is done inside the PJ so that it fits the natural resolution of your PJ, which is 720.
