Michael, how many sources do you have? The 4 numbered buttons on the remote can be assigned to any 4 inputs, so if you have 4 sources or less, then you can access them directly with the numbered buttons.
If you are using more than 4 sources, then without the discrete codes you are stuck using the input cycle button. Did you try Remote Central to see if anyone extracted the discrete codes?
