Has anyone tried and failed to successfully hook up a Infocus SP 7200 DVI-HDCP Input to a Samsung HD-931 DVD Player, which DOES have the A,B updated firmware, DVI output?
I tried it on my 7200, which has v3.2 software, and got only snow on DVI- at all resolutions (worked on Component, S-Video and Composite) but I took the 931 to a friends house with another IF SP 7200 (v3.2 software) and we had no problem playing through the DVI input of his IF SP 7200.
Has anyone had their IF SP 7200 exchanged or repaired for the sole reason of a faulty DVI-HDCP input?
I have an HD sat 520 with new version 1.04 and IF 7200 with ver 3.2. I can't get DVI to sync either. It will give me a 480p image over DVI but thats it. If you get an answe from Bob will you send it to me as well?
As I popsted erlier, I took the 931 to a friends house with another IF SP 7200 (v3.2 software) and we had no problem playing through the DVI input of his IF SP 7200.
We could play/switch to/from at 480P/720P/1080i with impunity.
So, it's clearly the firmware (NOT v3.2 software since both PJ's had that) or the DVI connector itself.
Yes. I had a very early production run IF7200 which displayed only snow thru the DVI input w/the HD931. I returned it to IF for service, and when returned (one day turnaround!), it displayed all resolutions from the Samsung w/no problem.
On a slightly unrelated note, is the HD931 image stretch of 4:3 material a non-issue with the 7200, since you can explicity select the aspect ratio with the 7200? Does the aspect ratio button still work on DVI?
