Hi all, I'm new to the Infocus SP7205 and have a few questions. I've been looking through the forum and have learned quite a bit about this product but still have a few questions.

1) The manual says it requires 2 feet of clearance to either side and the front of the unit. This seams a little large and not very practical. I'm planning on setting it up low in an end table but am concerned about ventilation. How closed in can it be before it becomes a problem? It seems like it sucks air from the front and lens side and exhausts out the other side. I can see two fans on the exhaust side but I've only seen one fan run. Some have written about fan cycling. Is this the second fan (the one closest to the rear) kicking in out or the fans changing speed?

2) The unit has two screen triggers. Are they both the same or does one have some different function than the other?

3) The unit has an IR input. Do you know any specs on this? does it accept TTL levels with the 40khz carrier striped off?

4) My unit seems to have a slight distortion in the upper left corner of the picture. It stays in the same physical position even when I select the option to invert the image for ceiling mounting. The image seems to curve (slightly) just in the corner. Is this lens distortion or???

5) My screen is slightly off center of the projectors lens. Does the Keystone adjustment really distort the overall image? With the new firmware it does not reduce the size of the image. Does it really matter or is it even noticeable.

6) I know each unit is different and I'm planning on calibrating the unit using the DVE DVD but I'm wondering if there's a standard or typical setting for the gain, offset, color temp, white peek, Etc., adjustments. I'm using a DVI cable for the DirecTV HD receiver, component video for the DVD player. Please share your settings...

The projector works great right out of the box. I just loaded the new firmware and am happy with it's performance but am not sure about a few details. Please help me with my questions above.

Thx,

glz,

2-Trigger 1 provides constant output with projector on-used to control electric screen. Trigger 2 is 4:3 aspect control-used for curtains.

5-slight amount of keystone, if unavoidable, will probably not be noticeable. Take a look at text for distortion.

6-For dvi , under color control menu use 66 for gains and 39 for offsets. Brightness/contrast at 50.

Hope this is helpful.
