In about a month I am going to be switching apartments and I decided I would try to mount my tv to the wall in my bedroom. I believe my Samsung model is the LN40A550 but I know for sure it is part of the 40 inch line of samsung LCD TVs. I have been looking online at amazon and monoprice between different tv mounts and have just been caught up in the variety. I was just wondering if anyone has ordered a mount from amazon for a 40 inch samsung LCD TV that has the tilt feature and it has worked pretty good so far. Also, I was wondering how high do you typically mount tvs for a bedroom I believe between the thickness of the matress, box spring, and bed rail it is about 2 1/2-3 feet. Thanks for any advice you can lend

I have installed many TV's on mounts. Your height seems a bit low compared to the models I have mounted. Most are determined by customer. Remember that most tilting mounts will tilt down up to 15 degrees or more. ON average I think the mounting height for those in front of bed are about 4 feet from bottom of TV. Once again it is really dependant upon your preferred viewing angle. Do you want to look up, your neck angle etc. I have purchase some mounts from Amazon and will never do it again, never sure of quality. The best quality lowest cost mounts I have purchased r at www.av-express.com and www.sanus.com .

FYI: I would recommend an articulating mount that pulls away from wall and tilts. IT will give you the premium viewing angles and can also tilt left and right.
