I have a AmPro CRT with 7" tubes. Would I be better off to hook up the input to the RGB inputs instead of the viedo hookup. I am running upgrade coax cable from my equiptment to my projector. If so how? do i need any converters etc. This newbie really appreciates you help. Thanks Allan

It depends on what you're feeding the projector with. I also have a 7" Ampro (2000D). I have fed it with s-video from a stand along DVD player, and it looks fine, but you really have to scoot back a fair distance so that you cannot see the scan lines.

I have also connected it to a HTPC running at 720x1280, and that looks terrific through the RGB connection. I'm just using a 6 foot VGA to 5BNC cable for that. The scaling by the HTPC for DVDs makes a wonderful improvement in the image.

PS-Where did you get your Ampro? I'm down in Provo and picked mine up from BYU.
