It's too bad that the Insider's thread was closed. It gives me one less reason to visit AVS. All that is left now is the software deals threads and the tier ranking of software that interests me.

Thanks Mark, I appreciate it. I know it must be a pain to make sure it doesn't get off track, but it was always really interesting to read!

I should clarify that there are plenty of good sections in AVS that interest me, I was speaking about the HDM section and what I read in there.

Was the insider thread closed because the insiders kept straying from their field of expertise to personal attacks on other insiders?

Maybe the entire site (HD section) should take a timeout for a week, and maybe let things cool down for a while. It works for the stock market.

People dont know how much valuable things are until they are gone.

We already did that, and the "timeout" was effective.

I don't see things getting nearly as bad as they were.

I don't think a "timeout" is needed again.
