Nobody has any info on this set? I'm planning on buying one and need advice
How do you know this TV has Samsung glass?

I have seen them at BB and I must admit they look good for the money.

Thanks,

Yeto
Upon further research it seems that the tv is made by Qingdao Haier Electronics Co., Ltd. It has the same model number "NSLCD40HD09" and looks identical.

Anyone ever heard of them?
I couldn't find an HD09 in the LCD HDTV area on Haier's site.

The closest thing looks like the HL40K or HL40R . The HD40B/BG sets only have 1366x768 resolution.

On a related note... Do these "768p" sets scale down 1080p signals, or is this just max the VGA resolution (and it can really do true 1080p)?
Theres the 42 inch model that can be found at Best Buy for $949.99 right here.
The HL40K that Ted eluded to can be had for under $400 at amazon. Does this mean this tv is isn't very good? I'm not even sure they're the same thing though.

Anyone know anything more about this set?
Someone got mixed up... They attached the wrong set to the wrong title.

For $400 this is almost certainly the 22" set listed in the "Technical Details" and not the 40" model listed in the title.

I ended up buying this 40" Haier from Costco a couple of weeks back for $700.

So far I'm a happy camper.

The unit arrived 0 dead or stuck pixels (yay). It has a some backlight bleeding, but this is to be expected in a cheap set. It is not serious enough to keep me from enjoying the set though. I'm not a videophile however...

The only problem I've had so far is finding remote codes for it. The closest remote code I have found so far is listed under "Durabrand" but some of the key mappings are note correct. I have a learning remote though, so I can always just teach the remote to behave.
