I'm new to the forums, so I apologize if I picked the wrong forum for this question.
I've had my Optoma RD50a DLP monitor for a few months now and have primarily been driving it with an HD cable box from Charter. I also own a couple of Inspiron laptops that I'm interested in hooking up to the TV via the VGA connectors and driving 720p. Is this possible using something like Powerstrip? How much do I have to worry about messing with things and trashing the laptop's LCD display in the process? The two Inspirons that I have are:
Inspiron 5100 with an ATI MOBILITY RADEON 7500
Inspiron 5160 with an nvidia GeForce FX 5200 Ultra
I'd appreciate any thoughts or things I should look out for if I'm going to try this.
Thanks.
