Installation Dilema..HELP!!!

Ok...this is going to be my first projector so please help me out because Im going crazy about this....The height of my room is 83.5" I want to put a 16:9 screen that is 45" Height 80" Wide (total dimension with border H:51" W: 86"). Sice Im going to be seatting about 175" away from the wall, I want to place the screen as high as possible and the PJ as high as possible. So basically, the lens of the PJ (mounted celing) will be straight to the top of the frame, meaning is not going to be in an angle. Am I going to have any problems? Do you have to have it in an angle. That will mean that I will have to lower the screen, but I do not want to do that since the height of the room is only 83.5" and the height of the screen is 51" and basically the screen will almost be in the floor.....please HELP ME since this has been killing me. Thanks

This is an attempt of being an artist to illustrate. P is the lens of the PG. The line is the celing ________

The | is total screen height.

The . is just there because without it the P will just move to the left...act like if its not there.

So basically, do I have to move the screen down to project properly?

You'll get the best picture by keeping the projector horizontal, thus avoiding any keystone adjustment. The distance below the ceiling that you must mount the projector depends on the vertical offset of the particular projector that you are buying.

Some (e.g. HS10, as I've recently found out) have the top of the picture level with the centre of the lens. Others (like the PTAE-100, I believe) have the lens below the top of the picture, others have it above.

Cheers,

Dave.
There is not one standard for all projectors. Some will work lined up with the top of the screen and some will not. To find out which PJ's will work for you, go to the manufacturers site and download the manual
