Hi,


I've been reading threads on insulation over th last day or so, but I can't find anything that specifically addresses any real benefits of adding insulation to existing walls. I'm converting a bedroom into a modest home theater and I'm trying to determine if I should blow in some cellulose insulation before I have the room painted. Based on what I've read this will not have any real benefit in providing a sound barrier without other measures and I won't be taking other measures at this point. Providing a sound proof room is not a major concern for me anyway considering the location of my room and immediate budget constraints.


Is there any real benefit to insulating interior walls considering these factors?

Anyone have a est. cost of blowing celloluse in? I have to do it for my whole house. I havent been able to find anyone in SO. Cal that does yet either

Change your search options to "slowest search" and you'll find plenty.


The search engine here seems to be optimized to run as quick as possible, due to the ungodly number of posts contained in the entire forum.
