I have a Vista HTPC with Intel's G33 integrated graphics. The HDMI output is connected to a Denon AV receiver, which is then connected to a Sharp flat screen TV. When I switch the receiver to the HTPC, I can set the HTPC to 1080i resolution. All displays fine. When I switch the Denon to some other input, and then at a later time switch back to the HTCP, most of the time the HTPC has switched to a lower screen resolution and I have to manually switch it back to 1080i. So, something is going wrong with the EDID handshake. Ideally, I'd just like to lock the screen resolution, but Vista and the Intel driver are too smart. I suspect that when I switch the Denon to another HDMI port, the Denon sends different EDID information to the HTPC. When I switch it back, sometimes the EDIT handshake occurs correct, but most of the time it does not.

Any ideas?
