I've heard the PHANTOM MENACE DVD wants to install a new DVD player program called "Interactual DVD 2.0" on your hard drive before you can watch the movie. Is this true? How does this player compare to PowerDVD and WinDVD? Thanks....

The InterActual player is a player you need to use to access the DVD-ROM specific contents, as in the features that require a computer (like games, going to the movie's website etc).

For normal movie playback, you can use any player. (In fact, as far as i can tell, the InterActual player uses the video portion of whichever software DVD player you have installed to play the DVD insde the InterActual player if you so choose.)

The InterActual player is used by many DVDs to provide access to DVD-ROM/PC enhanced content, like games and links & access to special content on websites. If you look on the back of the case of DVDs, often you'll see either the "PC Friendly" of InterActual logo which means that the DVD has some content that you can only access with a PC and the InterActual player.
