I would like to use a run of Kimber Kable 8TC for a bi-wire configuration.

The 8TC has 8 - 18 ga conductors for each positive and negative terminals. I would split these conductors for the high/low side of the bi-wire. What would be the proper split between High (H) and Low (L)?

1 (H) / 7 (L) (18 ga H / 9-10 ga L)

2 (H) / 6 (L) (15 ga H / 10-11 ga L)

3 (H) / 5 (L) (13-14 ga H / 11 ga L)

4 (H) / 4 (L) (12 ga both)

The 1/7 split makes most sense to me (why - I don't know), but what opinions are there on this subject?

Thanks,

Mike

Make a double run of 8TC. That's what I did. :)

After a long conversation with Dave Wilson of Wilson Audio I don't think I would do any type of bi-wiring other than pulling an exact matching pair off of the same spool. Same exact length too. All 3 of my front speakers have the same wire and the same length even though the equipment is on the left hand rack.
