Internet streaming to two clients

220 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  e vey
Hi

My home setup has a server, and two clients - an HTPC and a laptop. All are networked together and share a cable internet connection. Is it possible for the server to grab an internet radio stream, and then to serve that to the two clients ?

If I get each of the two clients to connect to the internet stream independently then it's impossible to keep the audio in sync between the two (annoying when I'm wandering around the house).

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

This is down to page 3 already :) so I'll just give this one polite bump and if that doesn't generate any replies I'll assume what I'm asking isn't possible (yet!).

Thanks

I would just get a multi-room speaker system streaming from one source

Wireless speakers are not very expensive anymore. You can use VNC on your laptop to control the HTPC source.
