Has anyone here ever converted a Sony Mavica MPEG movie to work on a PocketPC device? If so, how? Does it need to be converted some how? I have TMPGEnc and Adobe Premiere 6.0 but have only used them for full frame DV and VCD/SVCD MPEGs.

I have a 17 second movie that's about 450kb that I can't get to play on an IPAQ. I have Windows Media Player for Pocket PC (ver 4.1.0.0160) and Windows Media7 (ver 7.0 build 0109) loaded.

Windows Media Player 7 on the PC plays this clip fine.

Check out www.snapstream.com; they have something similar to what you are looking for.

Cheers

Windows Media Encoder worked fine for doing this -- although it's incredibly ssssslllllloooooooowwwwwww. Microsoft provides a small IPAQ specific file that provides the exact setup for writing Win. Media 7 files for an IPAQ (diff. one for other brands of PocketPC: HP Journada, Casio, etc.).
