I'm trying to connect an IR receiver with a minijack to a 3 position plate. The problem is that I don't know which element of the connector is what.
Does anyone know for a stereo mini jack connector of an IR receiver what is:
1 - the ground
2 - the power
3 - the signal
I know that for an emiter, the sleeve is the ground and the tip is the signal so I would think that the signal is the tip too and that the ground is the sleeve then the power would be the middle ring. But it is all supposition and I would like to be sure and of course do not want to cut the wire.
Any idea?
Thanks,
