I am looking for a suggestion for a hardwire IR router suggestion. I have 4 identical cable boxes to control.

Currently I have a URC MX450 with a MRF260. This works great but it is to fragile for the environment it is in. So I am looking for a setup that is more resistant to being dropped (remote control). My budget is similar to what I spent or less if possible.


I greatly appreciate any and all suggestions.

I own a Xantech RT8 which is an addressable IR router. Love it! Use it to provide independent control of 6 Sony DVP-CX985V 400 Disc DVD Players all set to the same command mode (IR codeset). The RT8 provides for addressing all 8 IR outputs at once or each individually. The RT16 improves upon this capability by allowing you to address any combination of IR outputs at the same time as well.

Can you tell me what remote you are using and how difficult is it to program. Preferrable a very sturdy type remote. Again thanks for your help.
