Hello,

I am looking at getting the Sanyo Z5 projector for my new HT. I have been looking for photos of it showing where the IR sensor is. I want to build a box around it, but will need a flasher or something if it is on the bottom. What do you Z5 owners do? I would love to be able to aim the remote at the audio rack like everything else, to control the projector. I have never had a projector before.

I don't have one but doesn't the signal just bounce off the screen?

Thanks much. Do you find it works out by just aiming the remote at the screen? I am trying to decide if I need to wire an IR repeater cable to the projector.

I have a Z5 and it works perfectly by pointing the remote at the screen. I have just the opposite problem, I can hardly ever get the Z5 to react if I point the remote right at it.


The total distance from me to the screen and back to the Z5 is about 7-8m.

Funny, I have the same problem with my Z5 but only with power up. Once it is on I can point anywhere. Can be quite annoying when it won't come on right away.

Hey guys, I have the power on issue as well, doesn't want to turn on sometimes . I have reverted to turning it on manually and then the remote works fine, weird.
