I am going to get a 4 room DirecTv setup with 1 DirecTivo receiver. Should I get a Triple LBN or not? If I do want the Triple LBN they add $100 to the price, but I am not sure if I need it or not? Any info would be appreciated. TIA
Even if you are only going to hook up standard definition IRDs I would still opt for the Triple LNB dish. If you later decide to upgrade to a high def IRD you will not need to install a new dish. And if you optimize the dish for 101 and forget about 110 and 119 you can increase your signal over an oval dish. Make sure you get a 8 way muliti switch. DirecTivo requires 2 feeds, one for each of the IRDs and you will have 3 other receivers for a total of 5 feeds. You will not need the triple LNB if all you are looking at is 101 satellite. But is not a bad idea to have the elliptical dish installed.
