Been trying but can't get it to work. I'm using Win Me and SBlive.

If you are able to get Spdif passthrough on Zoomplayer or and Directshow frontend, please let us know. Post detail info of OS, soundcard, and audio filter.

ThanksQ

I'm getting S/PDIF pass-thru of DD5.1 using Zoom Player on Win98SE with the ATI 4.1/Cinemaster filter and a Fortissimo sound card. I can't say about DTS as I don't have a DTS decoder.

John,

In the SBlive's mixer, you have to set the SBlive to only use digital output. Do this by hitting the red plus sign above the volume slider on the main volume control.

If you have installed the ATI 4.1 player it will be the Cinemaster DVD filter. Yes, you have to setup the S/PDIF with DVDGenie for the particular sound card you have and enable it.

I've got digital out checked in the mixer settings.

Gary, I'm looking for the name of the filter so I can register it. I have Windvd, PowerDVD, and ATI on the same computer.

John... it's called qidvdf.ax in the \\Windows\\system directory

c:\\windows\\system\

egsvr32 c:\\windows\\system\\qidvdf.ax

It may already be registered. If Zoom Player is using some other filter, like WinDVD's, you may have to UN-register that filter in order for Zoom to use the Cinemaster filter
