I returned like 4 televisions because clouding was pretty horrible each time (ln40/46a650). And i did take pictures and amazon and samsung agreed.

Anyway, is this still an issue with the newer TVs? Also, what TVs are considered good for the price (like the a650s were)? Are dead/stuck pixels still issues? What upgrades do the new line of tvs have?

Thanks a ton!

look at the B750 thread for the heir apparent to the a650 in the hearts and eyes of samsung freaks around here.

and then look also at the 6100/7100/8100 thread(s) for the inside on the edgemounted LED backlight samsung sets.

also see cnet reviews of these sets.

in all instances, screen uniformity and/or the lack thereof continues to be in the eye of the beholder.

Clouding and Flashlights are still an issue on many of the new LCD sets available today.

Sometimes these screen issues are only apparent in a completely darken room.

Again, it does come down to the eye of the beholder.

Some people may notice these screen issues much more than others.
