HDMI ARC is bidirectional. Can it both send and receive simultaneously?
Example:
Soundbar has HDMI IN (chromecast) and HDMI OUT (to TV ARC port). So one HDMI cable between receiver and TV.
When watching broadcast TV, soundbar source is TV ARC.
When watching Chromecast, is it theoretically possible to keep soundbar source as TV ARC? This would mean that the soundbar is sending audio and video to TV thru HDMI OUT, but also receiving the same audio back thru the ARC channel. Means that I would not ever have to change the soundbar source when switching between tv and chromecast.
This sounds kind of silly now that I have it written out coherently... lol. But I'm still curious. Can any of you gurus comment?
