Is it critical to have all speakers with matching impedance when driving a 7.1 HT system with a multichannel amp? I'm specifically looking at the Outlaw Audio 7125 amp.
I was thinking about buying the 7125 and I have a triad 5.1 system which are all 4 ohms. The new rear surrounds I picked up are 8 ohms.
Won't be a problem, I have a 7.1 system and all my speakers are 6 ohms except for the back surrounds which are 8 ohms. While channels may share the same power supply they will still have independent amps for each channel so you'll be fine.
