I haven't seen this addresses in the forums unless I'm not looking hard enought.


Has any seen info or had any thought on the ability to install a HD in the Motorola 6200 if that's the only difference between it and the 6208?


Then could firmware be enabled on it through some method to activate the function?


Haven't seen inside the 6200 but I envision empty space for a HD.... a situation where they just manufactured the 6200 and 6208 exactly the same in the factory, and the HD units were just on a separate end-assembly line.


Am I being naieve? Don't hold back....

No. The connectors to connect hdd are missing. Firmware probably would work but again it would be a lot of trouble soldering connectors.

If there are solder holes on the motherboard, then it should be a big deal at all as long as the firmware would recognize it right away.


Although I wouldn't want to try it without confirmation it would work from someone experienced who has tried it.


A lot cheap than almost double the price.... unjustified for a $40 80GB HD, to go to the 6208.
