I stupidly forgot to press the little "button" on the back of my powered/active sub (Sony HT-7200DH) for over a week. My receiver was off though.

My question is, does that mean my subwoofer was really "ON" the whole week, or can I safely say nothing was going on (no power consumption, no activity)?

My subwoofer does not have any light or indicator if you press the manual ON/OFF button on the back. It has an AC cord and one RCA jack to receiver. I just need some quick assurance. I know it's not a dynamo setup, but still...

It won't hurt it, but it will draw power.

Some subs have auto shutdown which your Sony should have. I can't imagine it would be designed to require that you switch it on and off every time you use it. That would be unheard of.

leave it on.
