Hey guys, I'm the new proud owner of a used Sony Trinitron KV-21FQ10E. It's been so long since I've even laid eyes on a CRT, so I'm not sure if this is okay. There is some vertical flicker thing on really bright/high saturation colors. It's not concentrated on a specific area, it just happens when the color is really bright. I tried plugging the TV in a different power socket and turning off all the motor-based electronics in my apartment (small apartment) hoping to check if it was some sort of interference, but there was no change.

I'm just wondering if this is even normal, or if there is actually a setting I'm supposed to change to make this stop. I'll share two videos to show what I'm talking about (youtu.be/i7MJXhb0N98 and youtu.be/CfFSPGONiWQ ). It's clear what's happening to the 01 channel number but in case it's not clear on the other video, the bright reds flicker in a similar manner but the darker blue/grey images in the back are crisp and still.

If anyone has any insight on this phenomenon, please share it with me. Thanks.
