When I turn off a device hooked up to an AV input, the TV displays AV1, AV2, etc on the screen and it does not go away. Is this normal? Do all sets do this? I would have assumed they would make them go off the screen after so long to prevent burn in.

You should be able to turn it off. It might help get you the information you need if you include the make and model of your TV.

Have you tried calling Philips technical support. You should do something as quick as possible because of the possibility of burn-in.

I saw the new Philips LCoS set doing the same thing at GG and the salesman didn't know how to turn it off either.

Yeah, I called they said if there was no signal going to the AV port and you were on that port, it stays on the screen.

My main question is this something most TV's do?
Not the sets that I know about.
