I'm planning on doing the 'crazily modded x1' thing of making an iris.
I was thinking the easiest way to do it would be to just run the projector
with the lid off, and observe how the iris blocked the light.
That would make it obvious how to modify the iris to improve it.
Also, it'd be nice to be able to stick the iris in/out without having
to turn the projector on and off. That's a signifigant time saver if you
factor in bulb cooldown/warmup time. I wouldn't even need the cover
off for that signifigant of a time.
Also it would be fun to just take pictures of the projector on with
the cover off, and whatnot.
