I have a Sony BDV-E780W that has been working great so far, but I'm trying to use it with the game Rocksmith which is getting delays, possibly from the DSP or extra processing of the sound through both HDMI, Optical and surprisingly with red and white analog plugs. I've been reading suggestions that this can be fixed by eliminating any extra processing done by the main console, but I am not seeing any option to turn of processing or to enable Source Direct. Does anyone know if this is possible on this unit? All I get is Auto, Movie, Music, Game Rock, Omni, Night mode, i may be missing one or two but these all produce an audio lag of varying lengths. I've tried poking around the settings but nothing comes up...BTW, when using the analog plugs I guess the receiver thinks of the source as a CD player or other audio device, if that helps....I remember seeing an option on the settings for Super CD audio or something, don't know what that was. Any help is appreciated folks! Thanks in advance!

Other than making sure the AV Sync option is minimized (p.42 of manual), it looks like there is nothing more you can do besides "stereo" mode. It looks like all analog audio goes thru the digital chain, which makes sense since it would add cost to do a "direct analog bypass".

I figured as much when I fiddled with the audio sync which was already at zero. I have a method that connects to my TV's speakers for this game from the game console that has barely noticeable lag, only problem is that its not very loud. Thanks for the assistance!
