Is it possible to get Dish Network HD programming without a set-top box?

I have a Sony 30XS955, and I'm wondering if I can't just use the built-in tuner to get HD. I assume no, if not for technical reasons then for sales ones, but can anyone confirm this for me? I'd love to be able to pick up HD without splurging for the extra hardware.

No you can't get dish with out a STB. However you should be able to pick up OTA local networks with your internal tuner if you are within range. go to the following page and put in your zip and it should tell you how close you are. Look for the digital channels in the list they usually have numbers like 2.1 and are listed with DT after the channel name.
