Hey guys, I've got a Onkyo HT-S790. Its still kicking hard with my 5.1 setup (I'll be adding the other 2 speakers in a couple days for 7.1). I'd like to know if you guys think I should upgrade my receiver and/or speakers and/or sub? I have a PS3 and 360 running and all going to my 52" Sony XBR5. I haven't been on top of things so I don't know whats out there now. Is there any reason for me to upgrade at this time?

Speakers and sub upgrade would be a bigger impact on the sound. That's what I did, also with a HT-S790.

If you can do both, a receiver upgrade to an HDMI audio capable one with better speakers/sub would go even further. Just upgrading the receiver to, say, a TX-SR606, would give a little more, but not as much as the speakers.
