I have a PCH A110 which I stream all my BluRay Rips from my Windows Home Server. Its been really good to me the past 2 years, picked up a couple of WD Live boxes for other TV, and the PCH is still my favorite. I was thinking about picking up the New PCH A210 since they change the case and got rid of the fan. Has anyone upgraded and found it to be worth it? Or since my A110 is working fine, should I just save my money.

Thanks for the advice.

I have (1) A-100 and (2) A-110's in service, all using the same YAMJ. I see no reason to upgrade unless either a unit dies, or you need BD Menu (albeit prob lite) support.

Of course if you don't use YAMJ and want the NMJ interface and/or want some of the online content, then It's probably worth it. The a-210 is very sexy!

It depends. The A210 adds HD Audio support for BR folders and standalone mkvs. It also adds support for BR Folders/ISOs (BD Lite) which I don't think the A110 supports. There are other enhancements as well. However, if the A110 does everything you need it to do then no need to upgrade, only if there are features that you would find useful with the A210

Wow, that was fast. Is it actually out?

Upgrade it. The interface will be faster, all the development is for the newer PCH's, no fan and it's actually a really nice media player. If my C200 weren't treating me so well I would get an A210 immediately. I also stream everything from a WHS to my C200 and the A210 is essentially the same, but smaller.

Note: The ability to use a 2.5" (or 3.5") drive internally is pretty neat. Since you mainly stream just put in an SSD and it will run cool, silent and fast.

What about PGS subtitle support too. I think that is key, I believe the A-210 can do this via m2ts files so you no longer have to convert subtitle files manually which is a royal pain. I think this is most important for forced subs in movies, at least for me.

Is there another cheaper solution than the A-210? I'm only looking for DTS-HD from MKV support without the need for a hard drive.

SageTV HD300 - http://www.mediasmartserver.net/2010...d-theater-300/

I have heard mixed results from the Realtek players when it comes to bitstreaming HD Audio
