I'm looking to setting up a home theater with a front Projector and am trying to keep cost down by using existing equipment. I currently have a parasound setup which consist of a 6 channel amp (HCA 1206) and a pre/pro. The pre/pro is pretty outdated (psp1000 - only prologic) and may want to an additional amplified channel to make it a 7.1 setup. I'm also looking into getting the Toshiba HD-a2 dvd player as a source. What are my options if I'm trying to keep cost down but still get a good setup.

Let me try asking if there is a receiver that will be a good match for the Toshiba HD DVD A2 for the use of sending audio and video vis hdmi to the receiver and hdmi video out to the projector.
