Is my laptop powerful enough for HD-DVD playback

791 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  galileo2000
I have an IBM T60 (Intel Core Duo @ 2.00 GHz) w/ 2GB ram and ATI X1400 (w/ 512MB) video card + an X360 HD-DVD external USB drive hooked up to it.

Is this powerful enough for HD-DVD playback?

will there be hiccups in playback?

thanks,

Jon

I think it is fine.

My Dell XPS m1210 w/nvidia 7400Go 1.83Ghz 2gb RAM plays HD DVDs just fine, and does 1920x1080 on the external monitor as well.

However, I play them decrypted from HDD.
