I have panasonic pz80u 42'' 1080p plasma tv but I have noticed that certain movies playing on it have a little bit larger bottom black bars and a little bit smaller top black bars. What I'm trying to say is that the black bars a little bit unequal.

My Panasonic 50PX80 has the ability to move the image around the screen so that you can decide which part of the zoomed in screen is displayed. Look around your picture settings as you probably have the same thing.

After a bit or research, the online manual can be found here :

Go to the Picture menu -> Zoom adjust -> V-Size and V-Position

That should let you even out those black bars.

Those upper and lower black bars and the size of those bars are part of the DVD or the broadcast that you're watching. There is no way to adjust them, and it's not a problem unless your name is Monk.

The Zoom Adjust settings mentioned above are only available when the TV is is ZOOM mode so they are of little use when watching movies, unless of course you like to watch them zoomed
