Hi all,

About this time last year I undertook building my htpc. After lots of configuring I got things working great. 1:1 blu-ray rips to mkv. Am using flac (with madflac) for the HD audio.

I use Media Browser with mpc-hc configured as an external player for mkv files.

With a lot of help from renethx, I got reclock working correctly.

Now, I see that mpc-hc has this evr sync. I don't pretend to fully understand how reclock or evr sync work, but am wondering if using evr sync renders reclock redundant and unnecessary.

The only reason I am really revisting this is because I am now attempting to stream MB trailers using mpc-hc. Reclock starts to scream at me when doing this. Disabling reclock for mpc-hc and using evr seems to work fine.

I just don't want to be sacrificing sound quality or syncing by disabling reclock.

I assume it would it be required for bit perfect 5.1 sound as well?

Is it okay to use reclock in combination with have evr sync?

All is fine with Reclock vsync correction off. If you want to use reclock vsync correction (I still believe it is more dependable) you must turn off ALL the EVR Sync vsync options.
