My 2800 is starting to act up so I am looking for a new DVD player. I don't run the Denon in progressive since I have a CS-1 anyways so I thought the next player would be interlaced..why waste the money on progressive if its not going to be used.

So, is the Pany RP-91 still king of the interlaced? I am looking at 1K and down.

The Pany RV-80 is an older Interlaced only DVD player which just as good as the RP-91 for interlaced. If you are looking just be sure it's a Pany with at least 10 bit 54 Mhz in interlaced mode

I am using the RP91 interlaced with an Iscan Pro to do the deinterlacing. I don't think you can get much better than this for $550 total. The only real complaint about the 91 is it's deimterlacing.Go for it.
