Is Screen Innovations worth the $$$$$

I have the epson 8500ub and am looking for a screen, about 100", and I am looking at the lunar gray hd, .85 gain. My walls are a dark red and white ceilings, the room size is 25x35 as this is also my family room. I can control light really well also. I can get the screen for about $1500 which is about the most I want to spend on a screen but am more concerned with quality over price, I can spend more if I need to. I also will sit about 14 ft back from screen. Thanks for any help.

Lunar gray may not be your best choice.

That's a bright projctor, if it's a family room and you want some lights on you may want to look at the Black Diamond II.

Any other screens that work like the BDII with the Epson 8500 for daylight viewing??

Something not so frickin expensive lol.
phifer sheerweave 4500 or 4400

Cool, but could I buy a fixed frame version or do I need to buy it in bulk and make a frame myself?

thaose do not work like the BDII.

They are acousticlly transparent screens.

Scott
my mistake. I thought he said Screen Research and was looking for acoustically transparent.
Is something like a Carada not high-end enough?
Quick answer is, Yes.

Not only will a SI black diamond screen improve your brightness but your color accuracy will be greatly improved by eliminating the color bleed onto the screen from your colored walls.
