Since the 7205 has a different lens than the 7200, is there a new calculation spreadsheet or other info to allow me to select a ceiling installation distance point that will work for BOTH the 7200 and the 7205 with my 130.5: Diagonal Screen?

The 7205 has a new lens. The throw distance flexibility of the 7205 is more limited than that of the 7200 due to the fact that the new lens has a 1.3:1 zoom ratio while the old one had a 1.4:1 ratio.

Bob,

I am interested in selecting a ceiling mounting position for the 7200 now that will also be compatible with the 7205 later for a 130.5 diagonal screen with the either projector mounted between 16-20 feet back.

Have you put together a spreadsheet, or modified the prior one for the 7200, that calculates the 7205's throw distances and offset angles for a given screen size?

If so, please post.

If not, are there any guidelines or mathematical formulas that will compute the new 7205 values, and the varience with those of the 7200?

Thanks.

Bob,

It has been many times before, but, it bears repeating.

You single handedly have made this hobby much more transparent, understandable and accessible to many of us and as a result have contributed mightily to the growth and enjoyment of front projection HDTV.

Thanks.
