I think it is. Was written to take advantage of Nvidia cards. I use it for my SD movies as TMT isn't that great for SD. Integrates with VMC, TMT and MyMovies very nicely. I like to keep things simple, no 3rd party software or codecs to make things work.

Theatertek and Zoom Player are still the best, IMO. I use the latter, but I have no issues with the former.

Any of the players can use any filters to decode so really it's about the interface. Theatertek is good if you want something like a set top box.

I have a question about using Theater Tek in Mymovies. I can put Directvobsub into the graph for mkv playback with subtitles. But it is a pain to right click the small Directvobsub green arrow icon to change between subtitles within VMC. Is there any keyboard shortcut to cycle through the available subtitles?

I thought zoom player was just a front end. If you just install it, does it even have the codecs for dvd playback? Better than Media player classic?
