Is there a 70" flat panel?

I don't usually post here, but since Sony cancelled it's rear projection sets, I'm rethinking what type of TV I want. I had my heart set on a 70" XBR5. That won't happen now, thank you very much Sony.

Front projectors seem to need a dark room. So what is left that is big?

Are you talking about a 70" rear projection or 70" flat panel? 70" flat panel: Sony 70" flat panel LCD KDL-70XBR3, if money is no object. Sharp makes a 60" that is a little more reasonable. If budget is an issue there are still rear projections at 70" out there. Mitsubishi for one makes a couple.

Yep. I'm looking at the MITs. I'm not giving anyone that kind of money for a 70".
Kdl70xbr3 is 32,999.99 (Sony 70 LCD with LED backlight)

LC65d93u is 9,999.99 (Sharp 65 LCD with 120hz)

LC65d64u is 6,999.99 (Sharp 65 LCD base model)

WD73734 is 2,999.99 (Mitsubishi 73 DLP with 4 HDMI)

WD73733 is 2,799.99 (Mitsubishi 73 DLP)
You can also get the mits 73, 733 series for pretty cheap as well. the 65 inch 733 series might be what you need to look at i think i saw one for like 1800 or something with free shipping. You just have to shop around. It's totally worth it. I got a 73in mits diamond for 4286. and thats with the warranty and free shipping. Hell the 73-833 retails for about 4299.99 in most BM. Best purchase ever!!
also a Sharp 65" 94 seires due out at end of January for a bunch of money
i believe it was a 71" LG Plasma going for around 12k at magnolia, but LGs arent getting the best name on this forum
150" now ;-)

Cheers,

TP.

Honeywell has a 70" LCD coming out in there Altura series. The specs look kinda impressive. They also have a 65" and 82" LCD. Don't know the price yet.

How are the Honeywell displays for build and picture quality?
There's also two 60" Pioneer Kuros and a 65" Panasonic 750U

No clue, I don't even think you can buy them yet. But hopefully there will be some reviews out soon.
