Hi Folks,

I'm in the process of finishing my basement. I have a 20" MA Slim 5 and due to space constraints could not go larger. It's tucked inside of a furnace room with the front panel exposed through the wall. I'm hoping to find a server chassis that holds a reasonable amount of hot swappable drives. In my case, reasonable is anything greater than or equal to 6.

I found an old thread here that mentioned the Norco DS-12E, but it looks like Newegg no longer carries it. Any ideas?

Thanks

I've got a 20" Slim 5 myself. A few cases I've put in it:

Silverstone GD07: Horrible for racking. It's currently empty and wasting space.

iStarUSA D-230HN: (2U/3bay from the A/V line) Didn't expect much from the brand, but Amazon had them for $75, so I tried it. This one surprised me...attractive, cheap, and functional. Definitely would recommend it. There are 2u/6bay and 3u/10bay short-depth options.

Synology RS814 & RX410: The non '+', non 'RP' versions are short-depth. Synology absolutely rocks. 1u/4bay each..

Casetronic/Travla T2280: Dual motherboard and 8 bays in a short-depth 2U. Expensive and quirky, but it's my favorite chassis.

Dynapower EJ-1U222: Super short (

DS-12E is still available at amazon.com and iPCDIRECT. The price is $1250.
