Is there a problem with INHD?

442 Views 3 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  HDTVFanAtic
I just got a new set, so I was flipping through the HD channels today to see how each looked. "In Theatres" was on INHD so I decided to check it out for a while.

For the whole 1/2 hour, these strange artifacts kept popping up that I never saw before on my old set. I don't know what these would exactly be called, but basically they were small gray boxes that would pop up every so often and then disappear again.

Does anyone know what that is and why it was showing up on this channel? I didn't notice this at all on any other channel (knock on wood), only INHD.

Also remember we are in sun out season as well. As you don't list where you are or the time this happened, its unknown if that is a factor or not...but its the right time of the year and day.
Sorry about that.

I am in Central NJ on the Cablevision system. It was roughly between 4-5 pm when I noticed this.
If you were further south, that might be it, but that far north I doubt you'll see any effect until Thursday, assuming they are using a 4M dish (and this is Philadelphia - not Trenton just to make it easy):

Predicted Outage| Start | End | Duration| Start | End

So rule out sun outage.

fwiw, SHO-HD East and MHD are on the same satellite, so those are the channels to check if you want to compare reception from the same origination orbital slot.
