I have a Dish 811 rec now and plan to connect it to two display devices (need BNC for one and component for the other.) I plan to get MP transcoder, so that will handle the component to CRT. I wanted to feed component to the other device (LCD) but I wanted to know if there was an effective way to split the component before the transcoder.

If I can not make this work, then I will just have to get the Dish 6000 unit.

You can't do it with a passive device (3 Y-cables) unless you can disable termination on one of the devices (and even then you might not like the result).


You can certainly do it with a video distribution amp of reasonable bandwidth or a matrix switcher (more money than a d-amp).


If you can get by with just watching one OR the other at a time, an extron switcher can be had on Ebay for ~$50-75. (Get an RGBS or RGBHV and only use the RGB channels.)
