I own a PAL DVD but can only watch it with my computer

because my stand alone player is NTSC.

Is there an EASY way to make an NTSC copy of it?

I don't care about keeping the menus or extras,

just as long as the resolution doesn't change much.

Does your PC GFX card have a TV out ??? Is it an NTSC out (or are you prepared to reflash it to become one)... This would be one way of converting it... You still play it on the PC but get to view it via the TV...

I assume you are talking about burning it onto a new DVD (you have a DVD burner ??) which is a different much more complicated idea.

Can you fix your DVD player to play PAL as well? A few can be adjusted in this way. You need to research your particular model on the net.

Alternatively, for about $60-$100 you should be able to buy a proper DVD player that plays PAL and NTSC and is multiregion.

Another possibility is the Sigma Xcard. I quote from their website: "Play NTSC titles on PAL televisions, PAL titles on NTSC televisions".

I cant justify buying a dvd player just to watch one movie.

My computer is to far from my home theater and it would

be a hassle to move it.

I just wanted to burn an NTSC copy with my dvd burner,

but from the research ive done, it seems to be a comlex

process involving multiple programs.
