Hey everyone,

my secondary system, in my bedroom, is composed of two JBL LSR305 monitors, which I'm very satisfied with.

Still, I'd like the opportunity to extend the lower frequency response.

My main concern is music listening and I currently have a budget below 250€.

I've recently tried a Jamo J10 and it was absolutely awful, boomy and muddy at any appreciable volume, although properly crossed over.

Is there anything available in Europe that could satisfy me? Or should I just give up and wait for my budget to double?

These are the options that I have come up with:

- Canton AS 85.2 SC

- Canton SUB 600 (used)

- Soundsation Clarity 10A

- Wharfedale Diamond SW150

- Samson Resolv 120A

- Boston Acoustics ASW 250

- INDIANA LINE BASSO 922 (used)

- JBL ES 250 P (used)

Does anyone have any experience with one of those? I'd love some insight before making the Jamo mistake all over again.

I'd definitely prefer one with high pass filtered outputs, although I will in the future get another miniDSP (already got one in my main system that I used to try out the Jamo) for proper -48dB / octave crossover.

Thanks a lot in advance.

How large is the room in cubic feet?

What's your typical listening level in that room?

What type of music are you listening to?

I apologise for leaving those details out.

The room would be 4x5,5x3,5 mt, volumes low to moderate, listening to rock, jazz, classical and the occasional movie.

Listening position at the opposite angle of a 2mt/side triangle created with the monitors.
