Is there such a thing as a portable ceiling mount?

It looks like I might have to mount my projector on my ceiling afterall, but ideally I'd like to be able to put it up and take it down frequently with no difficulty. Do they make something like this for the 4805, H31, 5120 etc?

I dunno but I have a chief mount for my HS20 and it has quick disconnect large nuts...takes about 45 sec to take it off....to me that is portable.
Julia,

I have my X1 mounted in a 'sleeve'. It's actually a small coated-wire kitchen wall rack that I found in the garage and hung horizontal from the ceiling as a temporary mount (which has now appears to have become permanent). I'm sure there's better looking solutions out there, but the concept may be just what you are looking for. All I have to do is unplug the connections and away it goes. I have a separate power cord so that can stay in the drop ceiling along with the video cables. We use ours (with a DVD-equipped laptop) outdoors occasionally or in the kids bedrooms for special friday night showings or sleepovers. I used to have pics of it somewhere, but those appear to have gotten lost. I think you get the idea though.

how about a sliding mount so you can vary the distances?

Portable no, but there are some with quick release mechanisms for easy projector maintenance. I hate to link to an auction, but here goes:
