Is this normal? Or a new feature?

Ok, I have 'Yes Dear' set to record everytime. I did it by going to the guide and clicking record twice so it showed two red dots. Well, it works and it records every monday like it should. However, last Friday there was an extra episode on Friday and my recording caught and recorded that too. Don't get me wrong, I loved it and was happy as I did not even know it was on on Friday. But I do not remember seeing this happen before.
