I thought I remembered some one saying that besides giving better blacks with a DLP that a gray screen can also cut down the rainbow effect. Is it that true? Its to broad a catagory to do a search.

TRat would mostly be a time based/ percepive thing, tied to the contrast level achieved with a screen, so indeed.. it may be true. It sounds very plausable. Watch out for a manufacturer claiming such. I would suspect that any high contrasting screen would produce this effect to some degree.
